Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb very small potatoes halved, leave 1 1/2" potatoes or possibly smaller whole Extra-virgin extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds Coarse salt to taste

Directions

  1. Set potatoes on a cookie sheet and drizzle them with just sufficient oil to lightly coat them, about 1 1/2 Tbsp.. Toss potatoes with cumin seed and roast 20 min at 400 degrees in a warm oven, then broil 5 min on high to brown edges of the cut potatoes.
  2. If you are making them with the Grilled Boneless Leg of Lamb (see recipe), set the baking sheet with the potatoes in the oven along side the lamb on the same rack.
  3. Toss cooked potatoes with salt, to your taste, and serve.
  4. This recipe yields 3 servings.
