April 27, 2011oh boy you have to watch those free magazines sometime! lol this was a fun read and the chicken looks awesome... as all your recipes!
.%20I%20love%20you%20Dr.%20Food.%20Ok%20enough%20with%20the%20mush%20and%20on%20to%20the%20Rib%20Roast.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20friend%20Cathy%20(waving%20to%20Cathy)%20got%20her%20hands%20on%20this%20beautiful%20Boneless%20Rib%20Roast.%20She%20didn't%20know%20what%20to%20do%20with%20it%20so%20I%20grabbed%20it%20out%20of%20her%20hands%20and%20ran%20to%20my%20house%20with%20it%20(good%20thing%20I%20only%20live%20next%20door%20because%20I%20am%20out%20of%20shape%20from%20eating%20too%20much%20pork%20and%20I%20don't%20run%20that%20fast.%20Not%20only%20that%20but%20her%20legs%20are%20about%203%20times%20longer%20than%20mine%20and%20she%20could%20whoop%20my%20ass%20in%20a%20running%20contest).%20Anyhow,%20I%20got%20the%20rib%20roast%20and%20made%20it%20for%20a%20dinner%20for%20all%20of%20us%20(yes,%20Cathy%20and%20her%20family%20were%20there.%20I%20did%20share%20afterall).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEwwww.%20This%20recipe%20sounded%20good%20but%20was%20disgusting.%20That%20is%20what%20*I*%20get%20for%20getting%20a%20recipe%20out%20of%20a%20magazine%20that%20comes%20free%20in%20the%20mail%20that%20says%20%22NO%20ADS%22.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECheck%20out%20the%20dayglo%20green%20under%20those%20breadcrumbs%20and%20parmesan.%20Ewwwww.%20Grosssss.%20No%20recipe%20to%20follow.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20also%20made%20these%20potato%20stacks.%20They%20stuck%20to%20the%20tin.%20The%20tasted%20ok%20but%20uh....I%20dunno.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20meat?%20The%20meat%20came%20out%20perfectly.%20We%20went%20with%20%22low%20and%20slow%22%20method%20and%20a%20blast%20of%20heat%20at%20the%20end%20to%20sear%20the%20outside.%20I%20sort%20of%20didn't%20do%20this%20part%20because%20I%20might%20have%20been%20talking%20and%20drinking%20a%20bit%20too%20much%20and%20this%20is%20where%20Dr.%20Food%20always%20comes%20in%20and%20saves%20my%20ass.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESunday.%20We%20decided%20that%20Sunday%20would%20be%20GRINDAPALOOZA%20for%20the%205th%20Charcutepalooza%20challenge.%20Not%20only%20were%20we%20doing%20that%20but%20I%20was%20missing%20my%20friends%20Matt%20and%20Margie%20and%20my%20BFF%20Sam,%20so%20we%20invited%20them%20over%20for%20a%20dinner%20of%20pastrami%20sandwiches%20(of%20COURSE%20it%20was%20the%20homemade%20pastrami!).%20So%20we%20were%20working%20away%20furiously%20so%20we%20would%20be%20done%20by%20the%20time%20they%20showed%20up.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAgain%20with%20the%20Matt%20hands.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHere%20is%20Margie%20(love%20you%20M!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EShe%20is%20married%20to%20those%20hands....I%20mean%20Matt.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHere%20is%20Matt.%20Those%20are%20his%20hands.%20(Oh%20Matt%20you%20always%20crack%20me%20up,%20love%20you%20too!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENo%20Sam.%20Same%20doesn't%20pose%20for%20pictures%20unless%20you%20pay%20him.%20I%20was%20all%20out%20of%205's.%20(Love%20you%20toothless%20Sammy!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOk.%20Carry%20on.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EReally%20Good%20Chicken!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMix%20all%20marinade%20ingredients%20(I%20flattened%20the%20chicken%20but%20you%20don't%20have%20to%20do%20this)%20and%20marinate%20for%20a%20few%20hours.%20Grill%20or%20roast%20chicken%20as%20you%20normally%20would,%20basting%20every%20so%20often.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
