Ingredients

  • 3 1/4 c. Flour, all-purpose, sifted
  • 2 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr, double-action
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 c. Butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 lrg Large eggs Colored sugars to decorate

  1. Preheat oven to 400 . Sift together on to waxed paper the flour, baking pwdr and salt. Set aside...
  2. In large bowl, cream butter with an electric mixer till fluffy. Add in vanilla and sugar, beat well. Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually add in the sifted flour mix, stirring onlytill the dough is throughly mixed.
  3. Divide dough in half, form into patties, wrap, refrigerate3-4 hrs.
  4. Roll out dough on floured surface. Cut with cutters and decorate. Place on greased baking sheet.
  5. Bake 8-12 min or possibly until LIGHTLY brown. Using wide spatula, transfer to racks to cold.
