  1. Mix the flour, baking pwdr and salt, then add in the butter, egg and water or possibly lowfat milk. Mix well till it is smooth pastry. Let stand for half an hour.
  2. Stuffing2 c. grnd walnuts1/2 c. sugar1 tsp. cardamom
  3. Mix walnuts, sugar and cardamom. Cut pastry into walnut-size pcs. Flatten and stuff with 1 tsp. of walnut mix; shape like a diamond, then brush with beaten egg. Arrange on a cookie sheet. Bake for half an hour in 400-degree oven.
