Asian Soy Ginger Marinade Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. sweet sherry
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 3 Tbsp. shredded fresh ginger (use the large holes of a box grater)
  • 2 x scallions white and green parts, trimmed and coarsely minced
  • 2 x garlic cloves crushed with the flat side of a knife
  • 1/4 tsp freshly grnd black pepper
  • 1/4 c. dark asian sesame oil

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together all ingredients except the oil, then gradually whisk in the oil. Use immediately, or possibly cover and chill; marinade can be made up to 1 day ahead and stored, covered in the refrigerator (shake or possibly whisk well before using). Serve with any kind of grilled beef, pork or possibly chicken, as well as salmon or possibly shrimp.
  2. Yield: 2 c.
