Directions

  1. Cream the butter and sugar
  2. Add the vanilla, egg, salt, flour, and coconut
  3. Mix well
  4. Spread 3/4 of the mixture in a greased 11 X 7 inch overn-proof
  5. glass dish.
  6. Spread the preserves on top
  7. Combine the remaining quarter of the mixture and nuts
  8. Crumble on top of the preserves
  9. Bake at 350 F for 40 to 45minutes or until golden
  10. Cut into the bars while still warm
