Ingredients

  • 1/2 x cu up vegetable shortening
  • 1 x egg or possibly egg substitute 1/3 cu up cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp sp salt 1/4 cu up water

Directions

  1. 1 Tablespoons ts baking pwdr 1/3 cu up sugar replacement; -(granulated)
  2. 2 c cake flour1/2 ts sp grnd cinnamon1/2 ts sp baking soda1 c unsweetened applesauce
  3. 1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
  4. 2 Cream together shortening and sugar replacement. Add in egg and blend well.
  5. 3 Sift all dry ingredients together and add in alternately with applesauce and water to creamed mix. Be sure to add in flour first and last.
  6. 4 Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F for 12-15 min.
  7. Makes 40 cookies
