Ingredients

  • 8 x tart apples peeled, sliced
  • 1 1/4 tsp grnd cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp grnd allspice
  • 1/4 tsp grnd nutmeg
  • 3/4 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 Tbsp. soft butter or possibly margarine
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c. Bisquick
  • 1 c. Bisquick
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cool butter or possibly margarine
  • 1/2 c. sliced nuts Vanilla ice cream or possibly whipped cream

Directions

  1. In a large bowl toss apples with cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg. Place in a large (4- to 6-qt) greased crockpot. In another bowl, combine lowfat milk, butter or possibly margarine, sugar, Large eggs, vanilla extract and 1/2 c. Bisquick. Spoon over apples.
  2. In another bowl, combine 1 c. Bisquick and brown sugar. Cut in margarine till crumbly. Add in nuts. Sprinkle the streusel topping over the apples in the crockpot. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 7 hrs or possibly till the apples are tender. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream or possibly whipped cream.
  3. This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
