Ingredients

Directions

  1. Place apples and water in a 4-qt slow cooker. Cook on low for 10 hrs.
  2. Add in the sugar and spices. Continue cooking on low for 8 more hrs. Remove the lid from the slow cooker and cook for another hour, or possibly till the apple butter reaches the desired consistency.
  3. Spoon into warm sterilized jars, leaving 1/2-inch headspace. Seal and store in the refrigerator.
  4. (Makes 5 pints)
