%20stuff%20with%20my%20daughter%20but%20whatever%20the%20reason%20my%20days%20are%20messed%20up%20and%20I%20can%20not%20seem%20to%20get%20them%20straight.%20Smack%20dab%20in%20the%20middle%20of%20watching%20the%20Broncos%20and%20Raven%E2%80%99s%20game%20I%20remembered%20this%20cocktail%20and%20it%20hit%20me%20it%20was%20indeed%20Thursday%20night%E2%80%A6and%20oops;%20my%20Friday%20Cocktail%20post%20was%20not%20done!%20Made%20especially%20to%20coincide%20with%20the%20first%20game%20of%20the%20season%20in%20the%20land%20where%20football%20fans%20create%20a%20sea%20of%20orange,%20it%20would%20not%20wait.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThankfully%20I%20had%20taken%20photos%20and%20was%20breezing%20along%20thinking%20I%20had%20a%20whole%20day%20to%20get%20it%20together%20when%20all%20of%20a%20sudden%20I%20was%20thrown%20into%20a%20tizzy.%20Sort%20of%20hated%20to%20leave%20the%20game%20since%20my%20team%20was%20winning%20but%20sort%20of%20like%20keeping%20on%20task%20too%20and%20getting%20a%20cocktail%20done%20each%20and%20every%20Friday;%20it%E2%80%99s%20not%20called%20Saturday%20Cocktails%20is%20it?%20I%20believe%20I%20ran%20as%20fast%20as%20any%20wide%20receiver%20to%20get%20this%20done%20so%20that%20I%20could%20finish%20watching%20the%20game%20(and%20what%20a%20game%E2%80%A6GO%20BRONCOS!!).%20Might%20I%20please%20add%20that%20I%20even%20got%20to%20see%20the%20adorable%20Britton%20Colquitt%20kick%20a%20ball;%20he%20was%20my%20neighbor%20until%20recently%20and%20he%20is%20as%20cute%20and%20charming%20off%20the%20field%20as%20on.%20Hi%20Britton%E2%80%A6Sally%20and%20I%20are%20SO%20proud%20of%20you!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20friend%20Greg%20Henry,%20he%20of%20Sippity%20Sup%20fame,%20now%20has%20two%20books%20to%20his%20name.%20His%20latest,%20Savory%20Cocktails,%20is%20my%20favorite;%20I%20mean%20come%20on%20%E2%80%93%20it%E2%80%99s%20COCKTAILS%E2%80%A6all%20cocktails!%20I%20love%20Greg%E2%80%99s%20vision%20with%20this%20book,%20nothing%20girly%20sweet%20here%20although%20don%E2%80%99t%20let%20the%20word%20savory%20fool%20you.%20Sometimes%20a%20bit%20of%20sweet%20is%20the%20BEST%20compliment%20to%20something%20savory,%20think%20ying%20and%20yang%20or%20salted%20and%20caramel.%20This%20cocktail%20is%20a%20great%20example.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDid%20Greg%20know%20how%20much%20I%20loved%20both%20Aperol%20and%20Tequila%20when%20he%20brought%20the%20two%20of%20them%20together%20in%20one%20glass?%20He%20must%20have%20and%20this%20was%20a%20winner.%20Aperol%20is%20such%20a%20favorite%20of%20mine;%20if%20you%E2%80%99re%20not%20familiar%20with%20it,%20think%20Campari%20Lite.%20Not%20as%20strongly%20herbaceous,%20it%20still%20delivers%20a%20nice%20scent%20and%20flavor%20that%20is%20balanced%20beautifully%20with%20the%20tequila.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20fortunate%20to%20have%20the%20folks%20at%20Partida%20Tequila%20ask%20me%20to%20sample%20their%20wares%20and%20it%E2%80%99s%20become%20one%20of%20my%20favorites.%20I%20used%20the%20Partida%20Blanco%20tequila%20for%20this%20cocktail;%20mostly%20because%20I%20didn%E2%80%99t%20want%20the%20slight%20yellow%20of%20the%20Anejo%20to%20affect%20the%20finished%20cocktail%20but%20I%20thought%20it%20also%20needed%20the%20brightness%20of%20the%20Blanco;%20something%20that%20would%20keep%20it%20light%20and%20refreshing.%20I%20really%20like%20Partida%20Blanco,%20a%20lowlands%20tequila%20that%E2%80%99s%20rich%20and%20a%20little%20peppery,%20though%20it%E2%80%99s%20not%20quite%20as%20complex%20as%20some%20and%20costs%20a%20few%20bucks%20more%20it%E2%80%99s%20a%20taste%20that%20is%20pure%20and%20rich%20and%20one%20of%20my%20favorites.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20don%E2%80%99t%20know%20where%20you%20are%20but%20all%20this%20talk%20of%20summer%20ending%20seems%20a%20joke;%2090+%20degree%20days%20are%20proof%20of%20that.%20I%E2%80%99m%20still%20in%20the%20mood%20for%20a%20cold,%20light%20and%20tasty%20cocktail%20to%20soothe%20my%20fevered%20brow%E2%80%A6and%20thanks%20Greg%E2%80%A6this%20was%20perfect%20and%20I%20really%20loved%20your%20book.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20cocktails%20are%20a%20combination%20of%20Henry%E2%80%99s%20take%20on%20mainstream%20drinks%20as%20well%20as%20his%20own%20recipes.%20Each%20cocktail%20is%20served%20with%20anecdotal%20research%20offering%20the%20reader%20something%20far%20beyond%20a%20recipe;%20the%20story%20of%20cocktails%20often%20seems%20to%20make%20them%20that%20much%20more%20colorful%20and%20appealing%20for%20me.%20Despite%20the%20lack%20of%20syrupy%20sweet%20concoctions,%20he%20still%20manages%20to%20include%20some%20fanciful%20and%20fun%20names%E2%80%A6these%20may%20be%20savory%20but%20it%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20mean%20they%20can%E2%80%99t%20be%20fun!%20This%20particular%20cocktail%20is%20reminiscent%20of%20the%20Aperol%20Spritz%20and%20would%20be%20used%20similarly%20as%20an%20apertivo;%20it%E2%80%99s%20light%20but%20has%20the%20bitter%20complexity%20of%20orange%20peel;%20how%20can%20it%20miss?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20would%20love%20for%20a%20reader%20to%20enjoy%20this%20book%20too%20and%20it%E2%80%99s%20easy%E2%8
