How did this happen?

Almost every Sunday, the hubby likes to take me out to lunch. Nothing fancy. Time alone, just the two of us after a long week. We frequent a local Mexican Restaurant. on one of our visits the manager treated us to two churros. I was in complete and utter shock.

Not because the manager was so kind, but because the hubby never tasted one before.

So you all know that every time we go in there, the hubby orders two. But churros are deep fried. I must admit I have been on a cinnamon and sugar kick lately and well, Hunter says, cinnamon + sugar = cake.

Anyway, last Sunday, after lunch the hubby wanted to go to the golf store. I asked him to drop me off at the grocery store and that I would walk to the golf shop when I was done. You see, golf is boring to me and the grocery store is boring to him. So win win. Right?! I only wanted to buy some corn, but I passed by the baked goods and saw an angel food cake and impulsively decided to buy it.

Then I discovered this recipe.

I made up a batch and we had these treats for dessert. Now this is what I call love at first bite.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
