Ingredients

  • 2 ounce unsweetened chocolate minced
  • 1/2 c. semisweet chocolate chips
  • 6 Tbsp. unsalted butter - (3/4 stick)
  • 1 1/3 c. sugar
  • 3 lrg Large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c. walnuts coarsely minced

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and butter and flour a 9-inch square baking pan, knocking out excess flour.
  2. In a metal bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water heat chocolates and butter, stirring, and remove bowl from heat. Cold chocolate mix.
  3. In a large bowl whisk together sugar, Large eggs, and vanilla till smooth and whisk in chocolate mix. Add in flour and salt and stir till combined well. Stir in walnuts and spread batter in prepared pan. Smooth top and bake in middle of oven 30 to 40 min, or possibly till a tester comes out with crumbs adhering. Cold brownies in pan on a rack and cut into 3-inch squares.
