Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.In medium bowl, put together flour baking soda and salt. Using a wire whisk, mix dry ingredients thoroughly, set aside. In a large bowl using electric mixer, put together sugar on medium speed till blended to uniform color. Add in butter, mix at low speed to break into 1 inch chunks. Increase mixer speed and completely cream butter into sugars. Add in large eggs and vanilla. Mix till blended. Add in dry ingredients, mix on low speed till dough has formed with a light dusting of unblended flour. Add in Mrs. Field's semi-sweet chocolate chips and walnuts, mix on low speed till blended. Drop dough by rounded tbsp onto ungreased baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  2. Bake for 22-24 min at 300 degrees. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.

    Makes large, soft chewy cookies because of the Tsp drop size and longer bake time at low temp,This is my favorite chocolate chip recipe. Also excellent if you substitute orange extract for the vanilla. Always a big hit
