%20I%20decided%20to%20get%20this%20heating%20on%20the%20stove%20so%20that%20I%20could%20get%20in%20a%20quick%20nap%20before%20everyone%20else%20got%20home%20for%20the%20day.%20The%20best%20thing%20about%20making%20soups%20is%20that%20a%20little%20work%20and%20a%20lot%20of%20time%20is%20all%20that%20is%20needed.%20I%20wasn't%20sure%20if%20I%20should%20use%20my%20large%20stock%20pot%20or%20my%20medium%20size%20one%20-%20I%20decided%20on%20the%20smaller%20one%20but%20it%20would%20have%20been%20nice%20to%20have%20a%20little%20extra%20room%20so%20I%20didn't%20have%20to%20really%20mess%20with%20it.%20This%20is%20%22soup%22%20is%20really%20more%20of%20a%20stew%20(at%20least%20this%20version%20of%20it)%20I%20was%20planning%20on%20making%20some%20dropped%20biscuits%20as%20well%20but%20between%20the%20coughing%20fits%20and%20the%20rich%20creamy%20texture%20I%20decided%20to%20skip%20them.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELike%20a%20lot%20of%20the%20things%20that%20I%20make%20this%20is%20far%20from%20a%20traditional%20beef%20&%20barley%20cause%20I%20couldn't%20resist%20adding%20just%20about%20one%20of%20every%20vegetable%20I%20had%20sitting%20in%20the%20fridge%20(the%20fact%20that%20I%20was%20going%20away%20the%20next%20day%20also%20helped%20that%20decision%20along.....%20most%20of%20my%20meals%20are%20based%20on%20my%20travel%20schedule%20it%20seems).%20But%20you%20of%20course%20are%20free%20to%20add%20or%20omit%20anything%20you%20don't%20like.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFYI%20-%20you%20made%20need%20to%20add%20more%20broth%20or%20just%20some%20water%20during%20the%20cooking%20as%20this%20gets%20thick%20fast!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
