7 Minute Frosting Recipe

Ingredients: 2 egg whites; 6 T cool water; 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar; 2 T light corn syrup; Dash of salt; 1 teaspoon vanilla; 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

Ingredients

2 egg whites
6 T cool water
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 T light corn syrup
Dash of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

Directions

Mix all ingredients, except vanilla, in top of double boiler. Place over rapidly boiling water and beat at high speed using portable mixer till mix will hold a hard peak, about 7 or possibly 8 min. Remove from water; add in vanilla and continue beating till of spread consistency.Yield: Sufficient to frost a 2 layer or possibly angel food cake.
