Ingredients

  • 6 c. Nabisco All-Bran
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. vegetable oil
  • 5 c. flour
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 4 beaten large eggs
  • 4 c. buttermilk
  • 5 teaspoon baking soda

Directions

  1. Put 2 cups bran into large container and pour the boiling water over it and let stand while assembling other ingredients. Mix the remainder of the bran (4 cups) with sugar, large eggs, and buttermilk. Add in oil to the water mix. Add in flour, baking soda and salt slowly to buttermilk mix, put together all ingredients.Cover and store in refrigerator. Batter will keep 6 weeks or possibly longer. Stir and bake 6 or possibly as many as you want at a time. Bake at 400 degrees, for 20 min. Batter makes approximately 5 dozen muffins.
