3-2-1 Microwave Mug Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box Angel Food cake mix
  • 1 box any flavor cake mix 

Directions

  1. Pour 1 box Angel Food cake mix and 1 box any flavor cake mix into a gallon-size Ziploc bag.
  2. Zip it up tight and begin to shake it well to make sure cake mixes are combined thoroughly.
  3. Print on bag:
  4. For One Serving:
  5. 3 tablespoons cake mix
  6. 2 tablespoons water
  7. 1 minute in the microwave.
  8. To prepare: In a microwave-safe mug (you do not need to grease the mug), combine 3 Tablespoons of the combined cake mixes with 2 Tablespoons water .
  9. Stir well until completely combined. Batter will get foamy as you stir.
  10. Then microwave for one minute. Top with some store-bought frosting, if desired.
  11. Notes:
  12. Feel free to play with different toppings depending on the flavor of cake you use. Whipped cream, canned fruit fillings or fresh fruit are all great toppings to try.
  13. Tried confetti cake mix, but found the colored confetti doesn’t really stand out once it’s mixed with the angel food cake mix.
  14. Red velvet cake mix was delicious, but too red
  15. Chocolate or peanut butter chips sink right to the bottom of the cup.
  16. Make sure your mug big enough or your cake will run over the top.
