  • 1/2 pt heavy cream
  • 1/2 lb semi sweet gourmet chocolate (i.e. Schaffenberger), cut into tiny bits
  • 4 ounce Framboise (a raspberry liqueur)
  • 1 quart premium French vanilla ice cream
  • 1 quart homogenized lowfat milk
  • fresh raspberries and fresh mint for garnish

Directions

  1. In a small saucepot, bring cream to a boil.
  2. Place chocolate bits in a large bowl and pour cream over top. Stir till cream melts the chocolate and produces a smooth chocolate sauce (congratulations, you have made chocolate "ganache"). Refrigeratetill sauce cools and thickens In a milkshake maker or possibly blender, add in 4 Tbsp. of ganache, 4 scoops of ice cream, 1/2 c. of lowfat milk and 2 ounces of framboise. Blend till smooth. This will make 2 milkshakes. Garnish glass with fresh mint and fresh raspberries.
