A pizza dough that is perfect to grill and makes indoors or out. Summertime fun with this grilled pizza on a charcoal or gas grill is going to change the way you think about food under the sun!

  • 1 cup 00 pizzeria flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp yeast
  • 1 cup warm tap water
  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

  1. KNEADING THE DOUGH
  2. Combine the dry ingredients into a bowl (spices, flours, and salt)
  3. In another bowl combine lukewarm tap water, yeast, and oil together. Mix and pour it into the bowl of dry ingredients. No need to wait.
  4. Mix the contents with a spatula until a large ball has formed (about 2 minutes)
  5. Let it set for about 10 minutes.
  6. Dust a casserole pan or something similar with a generous amount of all-purpose flour and set it aside.
  7. Dust your hands with all-purpose flour and knead the pizza dough for about 2 minutes with your hands until it's smooth.
  8. Divide the dough into two or three portions (smaller pizza portions have the tastiest results in my opinion.)
  9. Form the dough into smooth round balls and lay them as far apart as possible on the dusted casserole pan.
  10. Dust a generous amount of all-purpose flour on top of the pizza dough balls.
  11. Cover the casserole pan with a damp kitchen towel and place it in a warm place for 3 hours. (oven with the light on works well)
  12. GRILL
  13. Heat a grill on high (about 400 degrees).
  14. ALSO, heat your oven on low broil and place the rack two shelves from the top.
