New group to Nu Wave

Have a turbo oven but got a Nu Wave. Also have a 10 lb turkey I want to make. Got any suggestions? I got the Nu Wave for my little travel trailer to make pot luck dinners for my camping group. Any ideas for that will be appreciated too.

I shoved flavored butter under the skin on mine--basically just wash season and cook--Jennifer who is the head chef at nuwave has videos on how to cook anything--just loggin and have fun--I love cooking whole chickens and pork shoulder butt roasts---key to roasts is let them warm to about room temp--I do that with chickens to--tons of flavor-

Re: New group to Nu Wave

We did a turkey for Christmas. At first we started it breast side dow, put the extender ring in too giving us 3 more inches between the heat source and the turkey. After an hour we rolled it over and cooked it until the pop up timer popped up. We are finding that the visual appearance of the food is a good gauge of when it is done. We used the extender ring on alot of things... like bacon or bread products that we don't want too done or too brown. We even used it to cook a small ham and I used it to bake a pie the other day. I baked the crust first and then filled it and baked the filling. Yummy!

P.S. We live in our 22' Winnebago and the NuWave was the best purchase we have ever made. Don't know how we lived without it. My husband has dropped 25 pounds without trying... must be the absence of fat!
