About me
I am am 7/8 Cherokee-Choctaw and was given the Birth name of Little Sparrow by Paternal Grandfather.
I love cooking and baking but with an Empty Nest, I give most of it to my children and their families. I have a Son, Richard,43 and a Daughter Wendy, 41, who is currently fighting a Good fight with 4th Stage Colo-Rectal and Liver Cancer.
I have a GOOD recipe for Cherokee Fry Bread I would love to share if given the opportunity. The recipe was handed down from daughter to daughter over the many centuries og our history.
Cooking Influences
My Mother, who had 12 hungry mouths to feed, plus her and my dad, reminded me of of the old TV show, "Ma & Pa Kettle". My Father was injured on the job when I was six and was an invalid until his death.
Mom learned how to cook on a shoe string budget good healthy meals that filled our bellies and made great memories and taught us unwritten recipes that only had a "pinch of this and daub of that".
