About me
I have a beautiful family with a wide range of likes and dislikes when it comes to food. Growing up allergic to most foods does not help. Plus having a picky kid when it comes to eating hinders the things that can be cooked. The challenges to sneak in things not liked has been a interesting dance in the kitchen. Watching the blending of traditional Ukrainian{mom} and Irish{dad} cooking in the house with a allergic kid{me} was interesting. I grew up loving food and trying to figure ways around what I can't eat.
I also wont make any dishes that require alcohol unless I can find a substitute for it or one is provided in the recipe. [Personal preference]
Cooking Influences
Helping my mom or dad in the kitchen and learning how to blend different foods together. Plus watching Julia Childs and Graham Kerr cooking shows and all the technics made me love cooking.

- March 6, 2012Hello Amos, As for seafood recipes I am allergic to shellfish and have never had any crab, lobster, oysters or clams {once} since birth. Although I love deep fried clam strips battered and deepfried the hospital afterwards was not so lovely. LOL. So far that is the only thing i have liked that I cant eat. As for fish I just love fish and will dig thru my box of recipes to see about some North Eartern Atlantic Whitening for some recipes. Look forward to meeting new ppl and finding great recipes for the family. Jo
