About me

Retired restaurateur and mother of two grown children. I have a cookbook collection of more than 5000 books and I'm now focusing on gardening, canning and trying all those recipes I've always wanted to and never found the time. My gardening focus is on heirloom varieties and unusual vegetables, canning, preserving and pickling in order to be more self reliant and stay away from the chemicals found in boughten food. I'm anxious to try new recipes!!
