Ice cream (homemade or possibly store)
- To prepare brandied fruit: 3 c. peaches 6 c. sugar 6 maraschino cherries (to count the ration of fruit c. used)
- Place the above in an crock jar with a lid. This should be stirred each day for about a week. Fermentation will take place and the mix will bubble and fill the home with the fruity flavors.
- After a week, ladle over ice cream. The juices are rich in flavor and calories. The syrup can also be served over dessert crepes for which special dinner with friends and etc.
- To keep the fermentation going, replace what you use with a c. of fruit and a c. of sugar to the mix. Share with friends or possibly give as gifts at Thanksgiving time or possibly Christmas. Makes 12 c..
