Ingredients

  • 7 lbs vegetarian burger crumbles
  • 9 lbs kidney beans
  • 9 chopped largee red onions
  • 36 stalks diced celery
  • 18 chopped red bell peppers
  • 10 bay leaves
  • 2 1/2 cup chili powder
  • 3 1/2 cups molasses
  • 1 cup vegetable base
  • 1 bunch washed and chopped cilantro
  • 1 cup hot pepper sauce
  • 2 1/2 quarts water

Directions

  1. mix 3 1/2 cups flour and 2 quarts water to form slurry. Mix in a bowl with a wire whisk. use to thicken chili and needed.
  2. In a steam kettle combine vegetarian crumbles, kidney beans, onion, celery, bell pepper, bay leaves, chili powder, molasses, bouillon,cilantro, hot sauce, salt, pepper and water.
  3. Cook on high for 3 hours. Dissolve flour with water and pour into chili to thicken as needed.
