%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECooking%20Time%20:%2030%20mins%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMakes%20-21%20modaks%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%20:-%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20The%20Filling%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMethod%20:-%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20Sesame%20Stuffing%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDry%20roast%20sesame%20seeds%20over%20medium%20flame%20for%204-5%20%20mins%20until%20they%20smell%20nice.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGrind%20sesame%20seeds%20to%20a%20powder%20in%20the%20mixie%20or%20blender%20and%20add%20grated%20jaggery%20to%20it%20and%20run%20it%20again%20to%20get%20a%20uniform%20mixture.You%20can%20make%20ladoos%20and%20keep%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStore%20it%20in%20air%20tight%20container.Make%20this%20on%20the%20previous%20day%20itself%20to%20ease%20up%20the%20process%20on%20the%20festival%20day.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20Outer%20Covering:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1)%20Sieve%20the%20Rice%20flour%20before%20making%20a%20dough.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2)%20Boil%202%20cups%20of%20water%20in%20a%20deep%20non-stick%20pan%20with%20pinch%20of%20salt%20and%201%20tsp%20of%20ghee%20or%20oil.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3)%20Take%20the%20rice%20flour%20in%20a%20deep%20bowl%20and%20pour%20the%20boiled%20water%20gradually%20and%20mix%20it%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4)%20Mix%20well%20using%20a%20spoon%20in%20the%20beginning%20and%20then%20knead%20into%20a%20soft%20and%20smooth%20dough.%20The%20dough%20should%20be%20soft%20and%20greasy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETips:-%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20find%20that%20the%20dough%20is%20too%20dry%20and%20not%20sticky,%20then%20add%20the%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eadditional%20boiled%20water%20,%20drop%20by%20drop,%20until%20it%20comes%20together%20and%20pilable.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20find%20the%20dough%20is%20too%20sticky%20and%20not%20pliable,%20you%20can%20use%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eadditional%20few%20sprinkling%20of%20rice%20flour%20until%20it%20is%20pilable.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E5)%20Cover%20with%20a%20lid%20and%20keep%20aside%20for%2010%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMaking%20Modaks%20%20:-%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1)%20%20First%20wet%20hands%20with%20water%20as%20well%20as%20some%20oil%20/ghee%20and%20knead%20%20the%20dough%20into%20soft%20dough.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2)%20Grease%20a%20modak%20mould%20using%20very%20little%20ghee%20and%20close%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3)%20Take%20a%20portion%20of%20the%20dough,%20press%20it%20into%20the%20cavity%20of%20the%20modak%20mould%20till%20it%20is%20evenly%20lined%20on%20all%20the%20sides.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4)%20Fill%20the%20dough%20cavity%20with%20a%20portion%20of%20the%20Seasame%20seeds%20and%20Jaggery%20Filling.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E5)%20Take%20a%20smaller%20portion%20of%20the%20dough%20and%20spread%20it%20evenly%20at%20the%20base%20of%20the%20modak%20mould%20so%20as%20to%20seal%20the%20filling.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6)%20Demould%20the%20modak%20from%20the%20modak%20mould.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E7)%20Repeat%20steps%202%20to%207%20to%20make%20the%20remaining%20%20modaks.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESteamer%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E8%20)%20Now%20steam%20modaks%20%20in%20a%20pressure%20cooker%20without%20the%20whistle%20on%20or%20in%20a%20Idli%20Steamer%20or%20special%20modak%20steamer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E9)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EJust%20use%20a%20strainer%20with%20flat%20base%20which%20fits%20on%20your%20cooker%20and%20keep%20a%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Efine%20cloth%20%20or%20banana%20leaf%20to%20place%20the%20modaks.%20Leave%20enough%20space%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Earound%20each%20modak.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E10)%20Steam%20on%20a%20medium%20flame%20for%2015-20%20%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E11)%20Once%20the%20ukadiche%20modaks%20are%20steamed,%20drizzle%20a%20few%20teaspoons%20of%20ghee%20on%20the%20modaks.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20ukadiche%20modaks%20are%20ready%20to%20be%20offered%20to%20Lord%20Ganesha.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOR%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1)%20%20Make%20small%20balls%20from%20the%20dough.%20Take%20one%20ball%20and%20cover%20other%20with%20the%20lid%20otherwise%20the%20dough%20will%20become%20dry%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2)%20Try%20to%20make%20%20small%20bowl%20like%20shape%20with%20the%20dough.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3)%20The%20sides%20of%20the%20bowl%20should%20be%20very%20thin%20and%20then%20make%20as%20many%20pleats%20as%20you%20can.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4)%20Place%20some%20stuffing%20into%20it%20and%20start%20gathering%20the%20pleats%20together%20in%20the%20center.%20It%20will%20look%20like%20whole%20garlic%20bulb.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E5)%20Now%20steam%20modaks%20in%20a%20pressure%20cooker%20without%20the%20whistle%20on%20or%20in%20a%20Idli%20streamer%20or%20special%20modak%20steamer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6)%20Just%20use%20a%20strainer%20with%20flat%20base%20which%20fits%20in%20your%20cooker%20and%20keep%20a%20fine%20cloth%20or%20banana%20leaf%20to%20place%20the%20modaks.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E7)%20Steam%20on%20a%20medium%20flame%20for%2015%20%E2%80%93%2020%20mins%20.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E8)%20Once%20the%20ukadiche%20modaks%20are%20steamed,%20drizzle%20a%20few%20teaspoons%20of%20ghee%20on%20the%20modaks.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20ukadiche%20modaks%20are%20ready%20to%20be%20offered%20to%20lord%20Ganesha.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGanapati%20Bappa%20Morya%20!!!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
