Directions

  1. Combine turnip, onion and salt and let stand for 1 hour. Drain. Combine sugar, vinegar, paprika and food color and bring to a boil. Add in liquid removed turnip mix and simmer for 1 minute. Ladle into warm, sterilized jars and seal. Process in boiling water bath for 5 min. Yields: 5 pints.
