Tropical Smoothie Recipe

Breakfast is THE most important meal of the day. Unfortunately, it is the most forgotten meal of the day because most of us are too busy to prepare a healthy breakfast in the morning. As a result, quick and easy breakfasts are the norm, and often end up being unhealthy choices. Blending up a nutritious smoothie in the morning only takes a few minutes and you will feel much better after drinking it than you would if you ate sugary high carb breakfast.

TIP: If you are in a morning crunch, blend your smoothies at night and store in the fridge so you can grab it on your way out the door.

My basic smoothie formula is a handful of spinach or kale, mixed fruit, 1/2 avocado, a few tablespoons of chia seeds, flax seeds or hemp seeds, water and ice if I’m not using frozen fruit.

Here is my tropical smoothie recipe, tropical fruits are so sweet and refreshing for breakfast and it also makes a good mid afternoon snack!
