Tex Mex Steak And Rice Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 c. Converted rice
  • 1 x Minced onion
  • 1 can Diced green chiles
  • 3 x Celery stalks, thinly sliced
  • 1 x Minced green bell pepper
  • 1 pkt Taco seasoning mix
  • 1 x Cut-up, (28 ounce) tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can (28 ounce) crushed tomatoes with added puree
  • 3 c. Water
  • 2 lb Boneless top round steak, trimmed of fat and cut into cubes
  • 1 can French-style green beans

Directions

  1. In crockpot, combine rice, onions, chiles, celery, green pepper, taco mix seasoning, tomatoes with liquid, tomatoes with puree, water and beef. Mix to blend well. Cover and cook on HIGH setting for 1 1/2 hrs. Reduce setting to LOW and cook covered, 4 hrs, or possibly till meat is tender. Last hour of cooking time, stir in green beans.
