Ingredients
- 2 lb boneless chuck steak (to 2 1/2 lbs)
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1 can unsweetened pineapple chunks (20 ounce.) liquid removed reserve 1/4 c. juice
- 1 tsp finely grated gingerroot
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 x cloves garlic crushed
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3 Tbsp. water
Directions
- Cut meat into 1/8-inch slices and place in slow cooker. In a small bowl,combine soy sauce, reserved pineapple juice, gingerroot, sugar, oil and garlic. Pour sauce mix over meat. Cover and cook on low 6-7 hrs. Turn temperature to high. Stir in pineapple chunks.
- Combine cornstarch and water in small bowl and add in mix to cooker. Cook, stirring, till slightly thickened. Serve over rice.
