Directions

  1. Spanish Rice
  2. saute onions and green peppers in a tad of oil (ideally the grease from the bacon would be awesome...but that never happens)
  3. add a can of stewed tomatoes (or whole tomatoes) cut up
  4. add a can of water and a cup of rice
  5. on the side fry up some bacon
  6. crumble more than half the bacon up and let the family munch on the other half or less :-)
  7. simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is soft and water is simmered away
