Swedish Steak For The Crock Pot

Ingredients

  • 4 lb boneless round steak
  •     Salt to taste
  •     Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp dill weed
  • 1 med onion sliced
  • 1 x beef bouillon cube crumbled
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 c. lowfat sour cream

Directions

  1. Cut meat into serving size pcs. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in crock pot. Add in dill, onion, bouillon cube, and 1/2 c. water. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hrs.
  2. Remove meat. Thicken juices with flour dissolved in 1/4 c. cool water. Turn control to HIGH. Cook for 10 min or possibly till slightly thickened. Stir in lowfat sour cream. Turn off heat.
  3. Serve sauce over meat with mashed potatoes or possibly noodles.
  4. This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
