These can be stuffed with cheese, meat or potatoes... Sometimes I stuff them with whatever is left over from dinner.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup water.
  • 1 tea spoon sugar.
  • 1 heaping table spoons of dry yeast.
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1 cup oil.
  • 2 egg-whites.
  • 7 cups of flour.
  • 2 heaping tea spoons of salt.

Directions

  1. Place the sugar warm water and yeast together and cover for ten minutes.
  2. Mix all other ingredients together then add yeast when ready. Knead and mix well.
  3. Take a ball of dough roll with both hands and flatten in the palm of your hand then add filling.
  4. Bring the ends together pinch to close.
  5. Place the pinched side down on a pan lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake at 375° until golden.
  7. As an option you can top with egg wash and sesame seeds as shown.
