,%20its%20close%20enough%20as%20there%20is%20rhubarb%20sauce%20and%20custard,%20they%20are%20just%20layered,%20not%20combined!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20a%20young%20girl%20I%20loved%20rhubarb,%20but%20I%20hated%20Strawberry%20Rhubarb%20Pie.%20For%20me,%20it%20was%20too%20sweet.%20I%20liked%20the%20sourness%20of%20the%20rhubarb%20with%20a%20little%20bit%20of%20sweet.%20The%20first%20pie%20I%20ever%20made%20on%20my%20own%20was%20a%20Rhubarb%20Custard%20Pie%20and%20I%20will%20never%20forget%20how%20Nanny%20went%20on%20and%20on%20about%20what%20an%20amazing%20pie%20that%20was.%20I%20guess%20that%20was%20probably%20the%20best%20compliment%20a%20girl%20could%20get%20since%20I%20considered%20my%20Nanny%20to%20be%20the%20best%20baker%20ever!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20strawberries%20in%20this%20dessert%20are%20not%20sweetened%20and%20the%20sugar%20in%20the%20rhubarb%20is%20minimal%20and%20has%20some%20cranberry%20juice%20in%20it%20rather%20than%20the%20orange%20juice%20called%20for%20in%20the%20original%20recipe.%20The%20rhubarb%20sauce%20itself%20was%20so%20good%20that%20I%20stirred%20it%20in%20with%20some%20of%20my%20plain%20Greek%20Yogurt%20for%20breakfast!%20I%20may%20make%20some%20of%20that%20sauce%20just%20to%20have%20for%20my%20Greek%20yogurt%20and%20top%20with%20a%20little%20bit%20of%20granola%20for%20my%20morning%20meal!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20recipe%20(slightly%20adapted%20by%20me)%20comes%20from%20Cooking%20Light%20Magazine.%20The%20magazine%20that%20inspired%20this%20group's%20supper%20club%20years%20ago!%20Be%20sure%20to%20read%20what%20the%20rest%20of%20the%20Virtual%20Supper%20Club%20as%20their%20%22April%20Fool%22%20go%20share%20with%20you%20today!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
