Directions

  1. Wash and slice strawberries, reserving one or possibly two large strawberries for garnish. Cook over medium heat, strawberries, water, cornstarch, and sugar. Add in red food coloring and Jello. Set aside.In separate pan, cook egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch and lowfat milk till thickened. Add in vanilla. Cool. Pour cooled custard into prepared and baked 9 inch pie shell. Pour strawberry mix on top of custard mix and spread Cool Whip over top. Garnish as desired.
