Spicy Cajun Burgers

These moist and slightly spicy burgers are the perfect homemade burger for your grill! The Cajun Lime Mayo is 'out of this world' good and adds the perfect creamy and cool addition to these burgers.

Ingredients

  • Cajun Burgers:
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 2 t. Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 t. garlic powder
  • ¼ c. salsa
  • Dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1-2 T. chopped cilantro
  • ¼ c. breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 T. lime juice
  • Cajun Lime Mayonnaise
  • 3/4 c. mayonnaise
  • 2 t. Cajun seasoning
  • 2 T. lime juice
  • 2-3 T. salsa
  • Dash of cayenne pepper
  • 2 T. chopped cilantro
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Dash of Tabasco or Hot Sauce
  • Hamburger buns
  • Slices of pepper jack cheese
  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes, sliced
  • Onions

Directions

  1. Mix the beef and turkey together with all of the seasonings, egg, and breadcrumbs together until smooth. Form meat mixture into patties and grill on a barbecue grill until cooked through. For the last minute of cooking, place a thick slice of pepper jack cheese to your burger. Let cook until melted.
  2. Mix the mayonnaise ingredients together until creamy and well mixed.
  3. Assemble the burgers together with a generous helping of the Cajun Mayo, the burger, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Serve while warm. Makes 6 large burgers.
