Ingredients
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1Â 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1Â 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1Â 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp grnd nutmeg
- 1 c. minced nuts
- 1/2 c. golden brown raisins
Directions
- Combine ingredients in a medium bowl, mixing thoroughly. Store in a jar or possibly airtight container such as a Ziploc bag for giving.
- Attach the following to the jar on a gift tag:
- Spiced Apple Cake
- Serves 8 to 10
- Contents of Spice Apple Cake Mix container
- 1 1/2 c. oil
- 3 large Large eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
- 3 c. minced apples (cored & peeled)
- juice of 1/2 of a fresh lemon
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F Spray a tube or possibly Bundt pan with Baker's Joy Toss apples with juice of 1/2 lemon to prevent darkening Place spiced apple cake fold in a large mixing bowl. Place Large eggs in a medium bowl. Beat well with a wire whisk. Make a well in the center of the mix; add in the oil and Large eggs. Stir till mix is smooth. Mix in the apples till well combined. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 1 hour and 10 min, or possibly till a wooden pick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cold; remove from the cake pan.
- * As a nice gesture, give your friend a copy of the recipe also.
