  • 2 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 x Peel of 1 lemon
  • 1 x Cinnamon stick
  • 5 x Large eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 x Packets unflavored gelatin,
  • 1 x Dissolved in 1/4 c. of
  • 1 x Hot water
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1 x Custard mold

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, scald lowfat milk (hot lowfat milk and lemon peel till mix is very warm but not boiling). Add in gelatin to beaten egg mix, beat to ensure which they are adequately mixed and add in to the lowfat milk, together with sugar. Stir till mix begins to boil and then immediately remove from stove. In another saucepan over low heat, heat 5 tbsp. sugar till sugar begins to carmelize. Pour caramelized sugar into mold, following with flan mix. Allow to cold to room temperature, then chill overnight. To remove, place mold in warm water for a few seconds and then invert mold onto a serving plate.
  2. Serve chilled.
