A twist to our favorite spaghetti in olive oil. I like to experiment when it comes to pasta. This went well. I like it.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 kilo Pasta/Spaghetti noodles
  • 1 large can tuna in oil (drained)
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 3 tbsp. butter or cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup grated cheese
  • Fresh basil (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 hard boil egg sliced into pieces (optional)

Directions

  1. Cook pasta noodles according to package directions. Set aside.
  2. Drain excess oil in tuna can and set aside.
  3. Add butter or cooking oil in a preheated pan.
  4. Saute onion and garlic until fragrant. Add the tuna flakes. Stir fry for a few minutes over medium heat. (Add more oil/butter if necessary.)
  5. Toss the boiled pasta and fresh basil.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. Stir for a few minutes. Turn off heat.
  7. Sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese.
  8. Garnish with sliced hard boil eggs on top.
  9. Serve.
