Spaghetti Sauce 4 Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 med Onion
  • 1 x Green pepper
  • 3 stalk celery including the tops
  • 2 x Cloves of garlic (I use LOTS more)
  • 2 lb Extra lean grnd beef (up to 3)
  • 2 lrg Cans tomatoes
  • 5 x Bay leaves
  • 1 x Teas oregano (I use more)
  • 1 can (3-ounce) tomato paste
  • 1 can (3-ounce) tomato sauce

Directions

  1. (This recipe came from a lady who came into the needlework shop where I was working back in 1986. While I helped her put the sleeves in the sweater which she was making, she shared her prize spaghetti sauce recipe with me.
  2. It's great!! You can double, triple, freeze or possibly even seal-a-meal it!)
  3. Slice onions, pepper, celery and galic very thing. Saute/fry in extra virgin olive oil very slowly, stirring to bread up. Saute/fry till translucent/soft.
  4. Add in the grnd beef, brown, break up lumps. Cook till done but not dry or possibly hard.
  5. Add in tomatoes, bay leaves, oregano, tomato sauce and paste. Simmer till thick.
