Ingredients
- 5 c. fresh blackberries
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 tbsp. butter
- Pastry for 9 inch pie
- 1 tbsp. lowfat milk
- 1 tbsp. sugar
Directions
- Place blackberries in a 9 inch square baking dish. Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt, mixing well. Sprinkle over blackberries. Dot with butter. Roll pastry out on a lightly floured surface to a 9 inch square. Place pastry on top of blackberries; trim edges and seal. Make several slits in top to allow steam to escape. Brush pastry with lowfat milk; sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 425 degrees for 30 min.
