Directions

  1. Place blackberries in a 9 inch square baking dish. Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt, mixing well. Sprinkle over blackberries. Dot with butter. Roll pastry out on a lightly floured surface to a 9 inch square. Place pastry on top of blackberries; trim edges and seal. Make several slits in top to allow steam to escape. Brush pastry with lowfat milk; sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 425 degrees for 30 min.

    You should try it. It was delicious. My dad said it reminded him of what his mom made and he is 79 years old. Great simple recipe.

      I have never heard of a "Southern" receipe that used "lowfat" milk. :o) lol
