  • 3/4 cup lukewarm water
  • 1 cup unfed sourdough starter, straight from the refrigerator
  • 3 cups unbleached flour
  • 1/4 cup nonfat dry milk
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1 T butter or oil
  • 1 1/2 t salt
  • 2 t instant yeast
  • Topping: 1 T sugar
  • 2 T water
  • sea salt
  • 2 T melted butter, optional
