Ingredients
- 2 beaten egg yolks
- 2 c. buttermilk or possibly sour lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. melted shortening or possibly salad oil
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 2 stiff beaten egg whites
Directions
- Combine egg yolks, buttermilk and shortening. Add in sifted dry ingredients; beat smooth. Mix in egg whites. Bake in warm waffle iron. Serves 6.
