Ingredients
- 2 c. All-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. Baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Baking soda
- 1/3 c. Shortening
- 3/4 c. Lowfat sour cream
- 1/4 c. Lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. Snipped fresh chives
Directions
- In a bowl, combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening till mix resembles coarse crumbs. With a fork, stir in lowfat sour cream, lowfat milk and chives till the mix forms a ball. On a lightly floured surface, knead five to six times. Roll to 3/4 inch thickness; cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter.
- Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12/15 min or possibly till golden.
- Yield: 12-15 biscuits.
