Ingredients
- 4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 lb raisins
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
- 4 x Large eggs
- 1Â 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 3Â 1/2 c. oats, rolled (raw)
Directions
- Sift together flour, soda, nutmeg, and salt; mix with raisins.
- Cream sugar and shortening; add in Large eggs. Add in to flour mix. Add in buttermilk alternately with oats. Drop by tsp. on a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 450 F for 12-15 min.
