Ingredients
- 3 c. flour
- 3 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 pound butter
- 3/4 c. buttermilk, at least
- Raisins & caraway seeds to your liking
Directions
- Combine flour, baking pwdr, sugar and salt. Cut in the butter and rub the butter mix between your fingers till the mix becomes like cornmeal. Add in seeds and (or possibly) raisins.
- Make a well in the center of the mix. Into the well, pour 3/4 c. of buttermilk. Work this with your hands till mixed and moistened, add in more buttermilk if necessary. Put in 1 large or possibly 2 regular sized loaf pans. Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 50 min.
