Shrimp Wonton Appetizers Recipe

Ingredients

  • 12 x won-ton wrappers
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or possibly diet margarine
  • 24 lrg shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1/3 c. nonfat mayonnaise
  •     (or possibly substitute half of it with lowfat yoghurt)
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 3/4 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 x warm sauce
  • 1 pch sugar
  •     watercress
  •     salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F.arrange wonton wrappers on cookie sheet.Brush both sides lightly with melted butter.
  2. (you could use cookingspray).Cut each wrapper diagonally into 4 triangles.
  3. Bake 3 minutes.
  4. Turn wrappers over and bake 3-4 minutes more till golden brown.
  5. Cold on wirerack.(can be made ahead and will keep 2 days)
  6. Heat large saucepot of water and 1/2 tsp. salt over medium heat.
  7. Add in shrimps,cook till opaque,2 minutes.
  8. Drain,rinse under cool water.Cut shrimps in half lengthwise.
  9. Cover and chill.
  10. Combine mayonnaise,soy sauce,ginger,sesame oil,pepper sauce and sugar in smallbowl.Spoon 1/2 tsp. sauce onto each wonton triangle.Top each with one halfshrimp and a watercress leaf.Makes 4 dozen appetizers.
