Shrimp Fettucine Alfredio Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 package Fettucine pasta
  • 1 tbl spoon olive oil
  • 2 qts water
  • 1/2 lb gulf shrimp without shells
  • 4 tbl unsalted butter
  • 3 tbl spoons garilc in oil
  • 1 qt heavy whipping cream
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 16 oz parm. Cheese
  • parsley for garnish and taste

Directions

  1. Place water in lg pot bring to boil
  2. add olive oil to water
  3. add pasta to boiling water and oil mixture
  4. in a pan add 2 tbl spoons butter, 1 tbl spoon garlic in oil and shrimp cook untill shrimp are dark pink almost brown in color
  5. in another pan over med heat add butter until melted
  6. add 2 tbl spoons drained garlic in oil stir for about 30 seconds
  7. add heavy whipping cream add 2 egg yolks and stir the mixture
  8. when cream starts to bubble add parm. Cheese a little at a time
  9. continue to stir until cheese is completly desolved
  10. remove shrimp from first pan and place in pan with alfredio mixture
  11. drain fettucine pasta and drain place pasta on plate
  12. dip out enough Alfredo mixture to cover pasta
  13. sprinkle parsley over alfredio serve hot with garlic bread
