Ingredients

  • 2 pound chicken wings
  • 3/4 c. soy (shoyu) sauce
  • 1/2 bag Chinese sugar or possibly 3/4 c. regular sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 tbsp. Crisco oil
  • 2 pcs star anise
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Accent or possibly MSG

Directions

  1. Clean wings and separate at joints. Bring all ingredients except chicken to a boil. Add in wings and simmer 40 min. This is good for a crowd. It may be made ahead
