  1. Brown short ribs on all sides in warm oil in skillet. Add in salt, pepper, water and onion. Cover tightly. Simmer for 2 hrs. Combine 1 Tbsp. flour, 1/4 c. water. Stir into broth around ribs and boil for a couple of min. Serves 4.
